In the year 1965, 5 friends and companion with various specialization from different part of the wide Iran together established a company under the name of Iran Drug co that as soon as starting his activity, made great contact with famous Hygienic & Pharmaceutical Co. in worldwide and succeeded to get agency of several well-known European and American co in order to import drugs.

This company by developing his activity in field of pharmacy, hygienic and general products due to the experience, specialty and skills of his directors, altered to the one of the successful pharmaceutical and hygienic co in a very short time. 4 years after that time the directors by concerning that the future of the pharmacy will be depend on preparing and producing hygienic and pharmaceutical production, make a decision base on founding a company under the name of Iran license which has two departments, pharmaceutical and hygienic.

After Islamic revolution in year 1978 by decreasing import, production became more significant and by concerning the government decision, all the producing sections should hold an Iranian name for themselves so in year 1983 Iran license changed to Shafa Pharmaceutical and Hygienic MFG Co. At that point in time all the activities of Shafa's directors focused on more development and expansion of both pharmaceutical and hygienic department.

At present Shafa Pharmaceutical and Hygienic MFG Co. (LTD) is one of the most well-known, improved and successful co in pharmaceutical industry, which has great activity in Iran widespread, which will increase and improved day by day.

Now in Shafa Pharmaceutical Co. different type of tablets, syrup, and powder with modernistic technique by using modern and equipped machinery are producing and submitted to Iran physician society. Also, in hygienic department different type of shampoo, mouthwash, nail polish remover, cream and other hygienic product conform with international standard are producing and entering to the market.

Presently, Shafa has more than 100 personnel, including expert pharmacist, who are dealing with research, control, formulation, preparing and producing of pharmaceutical product along with physician and dentist as well as active and skillful workers.

Meantime, by considering to development project and company movement to a place in 50km of Tehran-Gazvin highway that will be prepared in coming years, it has been foreseen that more quality and quantity development will be achieved.
